Meet Our Team


Bethany Bertram

CEO & Co-Owner

As CEO and Co-Owner of Trobec’s Bus Service, Bethany leads with a deep passion for safe, reliable, and people-focused transportation. Together with her sister, Becca, she proudly operates this woman-owned, Minnesota-based company—carrying forward their family’s legacy while positioning Trobec’s as a modern leader in both school bus and motorcoach transportation.


Bethany currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Minnesota School Bus Operators Association (MSBOA), the United Motorcoach Association (UMA), and Women in Student Transportation (WiST). She recently completed a three-year term as President of MSBOA, where she led statewide advocacy efforts and championed initiatives to support school bus operators across Minnesota.


Known for her forward-thinking leadership and commitment to quality, Bethany has helped expand Trobec’s focus on safety, service, and community impact. She is especially passionate about mentoring women in transportation and helping to grow the next generation of industry leaders.

When she’s not on the road or in the boardroom, Bethany enjoys spending time with her family, including her young daughter, and supporting causes that move the industry—and its people—forward.

Becca Atkinson

President & Co-Owner

Becca Atkinson is the President and Co-Owner of Trobec’s Bus Service, where she leads alongside her sister, Bethany, in continuing their family’s legacy as a Minnesota-based transportation company. Together, they are modernizing and growing the business while staying true to its community-first roots.


As President, Becca focuses on day-to-day operations  and delivering a consistently exceptional experience for both school bus and motorcoach customers. Her leadership is grounded in collaboration, accountability, and care for the people who keep the wheels turning—drivers, staff, and the communities Trobec’s serves.


Becca is deeply committed to building a positive workplace culture and strengthening the company's impact through safety, service, and innovation. She is also a proud advocate for women in transportation and the continued advancement of the industry.



Outside of work, Becca enjoys spending time with her family, supporting community initiatives, and helping to shape the future of Trobec’s Bus—one safe, meaningful journey at a time.

Dan Jacobs

Director of Operations

Dan Jacobs joined Trobec’s Bus Service in November 2022, bringing nearly two decades of experience in operations, management, and sales. As Director of Operations, Dan plays a key role in overseeing day-to-day logistics, streamlining processes, and supporting a high-performing team across both the school bus and motorcoach divisions.


Dan leads with a hands-on, people-first approach. He doesn’t see himself as “a boss,” but rather as a leader who works alongside employees—guiding, advocating, and helping them grow. He’s passionate about continuous learning, building strong relationships, and driving improvements that make Trobec’s the most dependable and efficient transportation provider in central Minnesota.



Outside of work, Dan enjoys spending time with his family and dog, golfing, biking, and cheering on his sons at their sporting events.

Tracy Opatz

Director of Routing

As Director of Routing at Trobec’s Bus Service, Tracy Oaptz plays a vital role in ensuring our school bus operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently. From adjusting routes and adding students to advocating for drivers and responding to daily challenges, Tracy is at the heart of what keeps the wheels turning.


Known for her compassionate and solutions-focused approach, Tracy works closely with our drivers—listening to their concerns, supporting their needs, and helping them feel confident and empowered behind the wheel. She’s continually inspired by the care and dedication drivers show their students, and she’s proud to be part of a team that prioritizes both safety and student success.



A self-described “old soul,” Tracy spends her free time playing bingo, antiquing, and creatively repurposing vintage finds into something new.

Carrie Drew

Student Behavior Specialist

As Student Behavior Specialist at Trobec’s Bus Service, Carrie plays a vital role in fostering a safe, supportive, and positive environment for both students and drivers. She works closely with the transportation team to provide training and guidance on how to respond to students' medical, physical, and emotional needs during their time on the bus.


Carrie is especially passionate about educating drivers on childhood trauma, student mental health, and the power of modeling respectful, compassionate behavior. She finds fulfillment in the positive outcomes that emerge when drivers embrace new strategies and think creatively to support the students in their care.



When she’s not working with the Trobec’s team, Carrie enjoys kayaking on the Rum River near her home in Milaca—often joined by friends, family, or her dog.

Dispatch & Scheduling Specialist

As a Dispatch Specialist at Trobec’s Bus Service, Vinny plays a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly and on time. He is responsible for scheduling drivers and buses, coordinating trip details, and ensuring each vehicle is ready to roll—working closely with the service shop, cleaners, and drivers to ensure every trip meets our high standards.


With trips constantly being added, changed, or canceled, Vinny’s quick thinking, strong communication, and sharp organizational skills help him adapt on the fly and keep everything on track. He collaborates daily with both the sales team and drivers to make sure every detail is covered and every route is a success.



Outside of work, Vinny enjoys golfing and watching sports—channeling his lifelong passion for athletics into moments of fun and relaxation.

Joe Ludewig

Sales Specialist

Joe began his journey with Trobec’s Bus Service in 2021 as a part-time driver and quickly discovered a passion for the industry. In 2023, he joined the team full time as a Sales Specialist, where he now helps clients find tailored transportation solutions for every occasion—from corporate events and college transportation to school trips and special celebrations.


Joe is committed to delivering personalized, cost-effective service with an emphasis on reliability, efficiency, and long-term relationships. He takes pride in understanding each client’s unique needs and ensuring every trip is seamless from start to finish.



Outside of the office, Joe can often be found on the golf course chasing a sub-80 round or on the softball field coaching and supporting local athletes.
